MONROE GAS STORAGE FILES for FERC 7(c) CERTIFICATE

On June 26, 2007, Monroe Gas Storage filed an application with the FERC for a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity under Section 7(c) of the Natural Gas Act to operate a natural gas storage facility in Monroe County, MS. The application allows for a variety of firm and interruptible storage services.

Monroe Gas Storage Company, LLC (MGS) is currently constructing a new natural gas storage facility in northeastern Mississippi near the city of Amory. When completed, the facility will provide firm and interruptible natural gas storage services and will interconnect with two major pipelines (Texas Eastern Transmission Company -- TETCO and Tennessee Gas Pipeline --TGP). The storage field will serve the expanding energy needs of Mississippi and other areas of the Southeast, as well as the Mid-Continent and Northeastern United States. The facility will be constructed with the highest standards of safety and environmental concern, and when fully operational, is anticipated to have an estimated working gas capacity of 10.1 Bcf, utilizing 3-turn service.

• The construction of the facility includes development of the storage reservoir, nine injection/withdrawal wells, construction of approximately 2.0 miles of gathering lines and installation of compression and processing facilities. Construction of a 5.7-mile pipeline interconnecting to the TETCO pipeline in Monroe County, Mississippi, and the construction of a 17.2-mile pipeline interconnecting to the TGP pipeline in Lamar County, Alabama will occur concurrently with the compressor station development.
