Monroe Groundbreaking
On Thursday, July 10, 2008 Monroe Gas Storage Company, LLC ("MGS") conducted a ceremonial groundbreaking at the site of the company's new gas storage facility being constructed in Amory, MS. Prior to the groundbreaking, officials from the City of Amory and Monroe County, along with representatives from MGS, dedicated the facility during a ceremony held in the Amory City Park. The event was well attended by both local officials and members from the surrounding communities, and was followed by a Mississippi-style barbeque picnic.
MGS wishes to thank the City of Amory and Monroe County for their support of the project, and specifically Mayor Howard Boozer and Tony Green, Executive Director of the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce, for their help coordinating the groundbreaking ceremonies.
Monroe would also like to thank:
—Larry Clark Chevrolet for vehicles used by MGS during the groundbreaking
—Bo Riley's Catering for the delicious barbeque
—The staff at the City of Amory and the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce for their help planning the event
